Single Parents Your Presence is Requested for
The Official Book Signing for Pieces,
A Single’s Parent’s Guide

ATLANTA, GA May 20 /PRNewswire/ --Author Alisha L. Gordon, M.Ed. wants to meet Atlanta’s single parents at Vino Libro for a special book signing dedicated to you.  The evening will be filled with wine, celebration and single parenting stories and anecdotes.  Gordon is celebrating the official release of her new book, Pieces: Finding the Missing Pieces is Easier Than You Think.

Gordon, whose work has been featured in Upscale Magazine, Spelman College’s Spelman Spotlight, Morehouse College’s The Maroon Tiger and BREAK Magazine asks, “What do the 9.7 million single mothers in the U.S. have in common?”

Join Gordon as she discusses the “pieces” she believes single parents are missing. Pieces is a nonfiction book that reverberates beyond race, status quo, and class structure; the story is about self revelation and finding those missing pieces in our lives.  Through engaging personal anecdotes Gordon motivates single parents to work towards personal goals and aspirations.

“Alisha pours her heart out in order to help restore the many women out there who seemed to have lost their way when it comes to the balancing act of it all. It uplifts, inspires, teaches and causes every reader to reflect. Soul food at its finest,” explains Michelle Johnson, a single mother who recently finished reading Pieces.

While the book’s target audience is for single mothers, the book proves to be one that engages all women in finding their best selves. It gives women the opportunity to reflect and regain a sense of purpose, and if you're lucky, a few laughs and chuckles in between.

"Being a single parent is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to endure.  I wish there was a book like Pieces for me when I was at my lowest points or just needed motivation to make it through the day.  Make sure to come out and find those missing pieces with me," explains Gordon.

Vino Libro is located at 933 Garrett Street SE Atlanta, GA. The event begins promptly at 8 p.m.

Books will be on sale for $15 and cash and personal checks will be accepted.
